Several ongoing construction projects will continue to impact traffic on and near the Strip next week and into the near future.
- Las Vegas Boulevard between Spring Mountain Road and Sahara Avenue will be limited to one lane in each direction at various times during overnight construction hours next week. The single-lane restrictions may be in place from 11:30 p.m. to 11 a.m. each weekday, with the first shift starting 11:30 p.m. Sunday and the last shift of the week ending at 11 a.m. During non-construction hours (11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily) and on weekends, two or three lanes will be open in each direction on Las Vegas Boulevard in this area. Similar lane closures are expected in the following weeks for this project, which includes repaving Las Vegas Boulevard, replacing a main water line, and upgrades to traffic signals and street light poles.
- Koval Lane between Tropicana and Sands Avenues will be reduced to one lane in each direction at various times between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. on weeknights for the next few months. No lane closures are expected during the days and on weekends. The project, which includes repaving and other road improvements, is expected to be finished in June.
- Las Vegas Boulevard between Tropicana Avenue and Mandalay Bay Road will have one lane closed in each direction at various locations until this summer as crews work to widen sidewalks and install bollards in this area. There may also be times when two lanes are closed in one direction or the other.
- Karen Avenue between Paradise Road and Maryland Parkway will be limited to one lane in each direction next week. This project, which includes work on storm drains and repaving, is expected to be finished in June.
These and other projects in the Resort Corridor have special or suspended work hours during the various large special events and conferences held here, including the upcoming NFL Draft.
